Make a difference as a Volunteer
If you are looking for an oppotunity to give back to your community, meet new people, or have new experiences, volunteering for Métis Family Services could be the right place for you. Volunteers provide Indigenous children, youth, and families with positive role modeling, opportunities for positive linkages with other adults, and an opportunity to learn traditional practices from elders and members of their community.
Volunteer and professional opportunities can occur in the following areas:
- Family Cultural Night
- Personal healing and traditional parenting
- Outreach parenting
- Rapid Response
- Delegated programs
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please call us at 604-584-6621 for more information.
All individuals who wish to volunteer with Métis Family Services will be required to undergo screening, training, and appropriate police checks to ensure their safety. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and consent to a background check. Preference will be given to applicants who have a strong cultural background and understanding of the Métis people.
