  • Métis Family Services provides the full continuum of child welfare services.  We offer the following programs:
  • Family cultural night, Personal healing and traditional parenting, Outreach parenting, Rapid Response and our delegated programs include Resources, Guardianship and Child protection.

Job Description for Volunteers  

 Volunteers provide Aboriginal children, youth and families with  assistance in positive

 role modeling through volunteering.  Volunteers provide children and youth with

 opportunities for positive linkages with other adults/elders in their community and an

 opportunity to learn traditional practices from members of their community.

Please Note: 

All volunteers who wish to volunteer with Métis Family Services will be required

to undergo screening, training and appropriate police checks to ensure their


Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and consent to a background check.
